Chyna writes about her mom Cathy:

 Hi my name is Chyna.  I’m not sure what kind of dog I am but my mom always tells me I’m a beautiful blonde.  We think I’m part Laborador Retreiver and German Shepard.  Well whatever, it’s what you believe that makes you who you are right?

My mom asked me to write about her from a dog’s point of view so you could know her better and learn about her petsitting services.  As a dog, I can tell you it’s kind of scary when our owners have to go away and can’t take us with them. So, let me tell you about my mom.  She’s pretty cool and she loves all animals.

She told me she’s always been this way from when she was a little kid. Now that she is a big kid she can’t seem to get enough of us animals so she takes care of everybody when their owners are away.   

 Several years ago she became involved in animal rescue and volunteered with a rescue organization to help foster and adopt out homeless animals.  Boy did I get lucky !  I was a homeless animal with a broken leg and nobody wanted me.  She found me and took me home and helped me heal. I was really scared but her family gave me so many hugs, and lots of loving care, and I have had a great life for the past 6 years.  I have a human brother, sister, and my Dad is really cool too.  I also have a new sister. She's a puppy and we have fun together.

When Hurrican Katrina occurred and we saw how the animals suffered my mom enrolled in a class with United Animal Nations  to get certified in Disaster Rescue. Now she is helping our community develop a disaster rescue plan for us just in case we ever need it.

My mom has been petsitting for over 3 years now and when she comes home she tells me all about the dogs, cats, fish, birds that she cares for. It’s always fun to learn about the other furkids in the neighborhood.
